Based in Chennai, the Madras String Quartet comprises four full-time film musicians who love western classical music and exploring new frontiers in chamber music performance. Led by talented composer VS Narasimhan who learnt carnatic music from an early age, the group plays its own music based on Indian classical music combined with Western harmonic principles. |
